Fifth track from Drop the Silence's "The Dream Ascension"
lyrics
Survivor
Are you alive?!
Dreadful cries and moans wake you from a nightmare
Better to stay aware
Paranoia crawls into your brain
No place is safe you are trapped in the city of death
Rotten faces chase you, craving your flesh
One bite and you’ll become one of them
Hide and run, put a bullet in their faces
No place is safe you are trapped in the city of death
No help, you’re on your own tonight
Load your gun, take a breath
They will come for you, stay alert
Fight back, keep up your guard
Fight
Fire and smoke, all around
And the smell of death, always there
Suffocating fumes, hold your breath
Mutilated bodies lay on the bloodstained ground
Putrid flesh, it’s all you will see
Bloodshot eyes staring right at you
Get away, before it’s too late
Run
Four rounds left, gotta make them count
Don’t look back, this is hell on earth
This place is doomed, you gotta get away
It’s hopeless, lost souls, innocents
Eternity in hell
This disease brings people back to life
Disgraceful, makes them animals,
Takes their humanity away
Lost, afraid, confused
The feeling of uselessness rises
Ripped to shreds, going insane
Madness takes over your mind
Crawl into the dark, it won’t fade away
Get up you are not dead not yet
Afraid, confused
The feeling of uselessness rises
Crawl into the dark, it won’t fade away
Get up you are not dead yet
Don’t let the madness consume you
Rise up and find a way out
You’ve been left behind in this dreadful place
The nightmare is about to end
Rise up and find a way out
The nightmare is about to end
Move on, sink or swim

Two impressive vocalists, variable and skilled guitarists and a tight and very powerful rhythm section. That plus the ability to write a song really leaves nothing left to desire here. mourner
I am in awe. Absolutely flawless vocals and instrumentals. You guys have my full support. Just keep making music like this and you guys are golden. Like Rings Of Saturn only with more rhythm. Dillon Geyer
Chicago deathcore outfit Into the Silo torch everything in sight on this searing new LP with riffs that will leave bruises. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 21, 2022
Symphonic stuff in metal doesn’t make its way into my collection aside from a couple of early Cradle albums. The orch here though just ads to how huge this band sounds. It makes elements in the songs more immersive. There are plenty of breaks from orchestration where its in deathcore/slamming brutality mode. While not ignorant, the songs never play with time or get mathy making it accessible and memorable. Came out 2015? Impressed. Mitch Mitcherson
